Rossi: we have to be careful with Marquez
HOHENSTEIN-ERNSTTHAL-two weeks ago, Valentino Rossi won his third race this season with GP Circuit of Assen in the Netherlands. Such victories keep position Rossi as the leader of the standings.
This weekend, the 36-year racers will compete with other racers in Sachsenring, Germany. The last time Rossi was champion on the circuit with 13 the curve in 2009 when he won the ninth world title or his last.
"I am ready for the Sachsenring and I will come with happy thoughts," said Rossi. "I can get a benefit that got lost in the last few races. Superior 10 digits (in the standings) after eight races is not bad. I am very happy. "
Before down on Netherlands GP, Rossi just superior to one point over teammate in Movistar Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo, who finished second. Lorenzo who just finished third in Assen, is now lagging 10 digits from Rossi.
"It's important to make sure that we will be competitive in Germany. We know that the competitors will be working hard to get the lead back. In Assen, we managed to survive in the future. (Marc) Marquez will probably be our rival in the next races, and we have to be very careful with him, "said Rossi.
Rossi and Lorenzo performed well in this season. They gave Yamaha six winning streak in the premier class for the first time throughout the history of the grand prix. For the first time also Yamaha could win seven of eight races in a single season.
After the Germany GRAND PRIX will take place July 10-12, the racers had time to rest before the second half started again on August 7-9 in Indianapolis.
